The Sundowner closed in late 2003.
Location -
Downtown, on Arlington Avenue two blocks west of the other casinos.
Decor -
Low ceilings, narrow aisles give a crowded claustrophobic feeling.

Sundowner Reno Hotel
There are a few less than 600 rooms, and ten 2-room suites complete with in-room
hot tubs with rates as low as $26 per night week days. There is a swimming pool.
Entertainment @ the Sundowner
There is not as much in the way of entertainment as found at the other Reno
casinos although they do have live music every Friday and Saturday from 9:00 PM.

They have the usual mix of slots: Monopoly, Wheel of Fortune, etc.
They have a "Monday
Night Madness" 21 tournament. They also have daily drawings for free gifts twice a day
during the week, six times on Saturday and four times on Sunday. Tickets for the drawings
are given to you when you join their V.I.P. club, check in to the hotel, have a hand-paid
jackpot, purchase a meal in one of their restaurants and on various other occasions.
The Sundowner Triple Play is a combination of three tournaments. Details will
be available on the casino web site.
Sundowner Reno Dining Guide
There are three dining choices, a steakhouse, a buffet and a coffee shop. The coffee shop features weekday specials such as a western omelet or spaghetti $2.99.
